Dear Solana Vista Families,

Solana Vista School Site Council: Congratulations to our three new School Site Council Members:  Heather Adams, Doug Gilbert, and Morgan Lyn Principi! Thank you for giving your time and energy to our school!

An Important Message from Mrs. Rainville: All Solana Vista library books are due back to the media center by Wednesday, May 31, 2017 so that our annual recovery and inventory process may begin. Overdue notices will be sent home with students throughout May. Any lost books are required to either: (a) Be returned to the Book Return Cart in the media center for processing, (b) Be replaced by a comparable copy (hardcover v. paperback as noted on the overdue report), or (c) Be paid for via check made payable to the Solana Beach School District; all transactions should be made directly with Mrs. Rainville in the Media Center. Students will not receive their end of the year report card unless all overdue/lost books are recovered or replaced. Thank you, in advance, for helping to keep the Solana Vista library collection intact!

Please thank our teachers on Traffic Supervision: It is our #1 priority to get 410 students to and from school safely every day.  When the drive-through line is not moving as fast as you would like or our crosswalk guards are asking you to wait before crossing, please remember that we are doing our best to move car and foot traffic as quickly and safely as possible.  A thank you goes a long way!

School Assembly Rain or Shine: Morning assemblies begin at 8:35 on the blacktop when the weather is cooperating.  In the event of rain, 2nd and 3rd grade will have their assembly in the KIVA at 8:35 followed by Kindergarten and 1st grade at 8:55.
